This entire 12 Days of Fitness series will consist of quick and effective workouts you can do in a small space. This is perfect for stay-at-home-moms during nap or playtime or for workers on lunch breaks, before work, or after work.

Let’s get going:
THE WORKOUT:
When you are ready to begin, start your stopwatch. If you’re in front of a computer, you can even use this minute alarm.
Every minute on the minute mark (1:00, 2:00, etc.), you will do the following exercises:

EXPLANATION:
1) 10 mountain climbers on each side,
2) 10 tricep dips (challenge: legs are straight out in front of you or one leg is off the ground, preferably straight and parallel to the ground). You can put your hands on a stair, a chair, or just the ground.
3) 5 split-leg abs each side. How to: Lay on your back, split your legs so your right shin is close to your head and your left calf is close to the ground, now switch them, etc. Make sure to reach your hand toward the foot that is up in the air).
4) Jump up at the end and rest!
You rest until the clock hits 1 minute, then you do it again. The faster you complete the workout portion, the longer you get to rest.
MODIFICATION: If, after trying it at least three times, you discover that you have consistently less than 15 seconds of rest time, you can add time to each interval (i.e. next time give yourself 1:15 to complete it.) Ensure you consistently have at least 15 seconds of rest between sets. Once your cardiovascular system gets stronger, you’ll be able to shave off time. Keep working at it! On the flip-side, if you have longer than 35 seconds of rest, shorten your allotted time.
