If you are interested in some homemade goodies that you can buy over the Internet, look below! I found these great items at my local Farmers’ Market, and thought you’d like to see them.
Pappardelle’s Pasta
www.pappardellespasta.com
When you walk up to Pappardelle’s stand at the Market, you will see an array of colors. Who knew pasta was made in so many colors, shapes, and sizes? They not only sell regular and gluten-free pasta, they also sell oils, vinegars, and pasta sauces. The owner let me try some of their fruit-flavored pasta. Lime was my favorite. It immediately came to mind that this would be a great cold snack for the kids on a summer day!
Becca’s Gourmet Goodies
www.beccasgourmetgoodies.com
This was the show-stopper during my trip! I can barely wait to share what I found. Becca’s sells a large selection of gluten-free Biscotti, Granola, and Shortbreads, but she also sells some very unique confections. Her series of “Fart” meringues (i.e. Unicorn Farts, Dragon Farts, and Fairy Farts) are devilishly sweet, but contain a measly 4 grams of sugar per bag! Each bag contains 12 nicely-sized, er, Farts! What a great treat to give to a little one without feeling the guilt!
BTS Chocolate Honey
www.btschocolate.com
These chocolate spreads are gluten-free and diabetic-friendly. The chocolate is actually sweetened by honey or agave nectar, and it tastes great! Pop open your chocolate jar to bring excitement to your morning toast or pancakes, as a pretzel dipper, or as an ice cream topping–anything goes. Oh, and if you are wondering what BTS stands for, you’ll have to ask Dharma, the owner.
Ten Bears Winery
www.tenbearswinery.com
Free wine samples at the Farmers’ Market? I’m in! This local winery sits only 9 miles from Fort Collins in Laporte. They offer 7 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert, and 1 cider wine. If you visit their website, you’ll find information on private wine tastings and personalize labeling — a few things that set them apart.
Rose’s Creamery
www.rosescreamery.com
Although the Creamery is known for its ice cream, you probably won’t see any at the Market. However, you will see a wide array of unique peanut and other nut butters. The nut butters range from Hot & Spicy Peanut Butter, to Honey Roasted Cashew, to Dark Chocolate Almond, to Salted Pistachio, to Roasted Hazelnut.
Check all of these companies out online, and let us know below what you thought of your purchase!
