Do you want an easy gift that can make a big impression? If you don’t have mini ties like these, use a daddy-sized one. That can be really funny in itself!
If it’s nice outside, you’ll have a perfect background. If you want to take the photoshoot inside, use your manual settings to adjust, or ensure you are in a well-lit area with natural light.
Let the kids goof off with the ties. I didn’t even prompt this little guy. He took it upon himself to give me a great photo-op!
Play with different perspectives. You can’t even see the baby’s face in the pic below, but it’s a nice unique picture.
Love these goofy boys. Neither wanted the other to have the ball, so they shared! The baby twisting up the tie makes the picture look so natural.
Taking a break from playing…
They look like little platinum, dimpled-up angels, don’t they? I’m not convinced… 😉 I gave them a ball. One sat on it and the other stood next to him. EASY!
See the photo with the baby’s feet in focus and his face out of focus? You will have to use a short lens to make that effect (50mm is what I have, and I use a Canon 5D Mark II, but any DSLR that allows you to change lenses will work.) The same effect was used above (click on the image to see it larger). The older brother’s face is in focus, and the younger one is out of focus. I did this by placing the center of the viewfinder on the area of the area of the picture I wanted in focus (the older bro’s face and the baby’s feet). I depressed the button down halfway until I heard a beep. I then moved the camera to include everything I wanted in the picture and then depressed the button fully to take the picture.
