If you’re still wondering what exactly your husband wants for Father’s Day, this gift idea might be for you!
This is a gift that any dad will LOVE! You can create your menu according to your husband’s likes. When creating it, think about what he always asks for on Christmas or his birthday. What does he like to do? What would he do every weekend if he didn’t have responsibilities at home?
Create a “menu” of activities your husband will love! I separated my menu into 4 different categories to make it a little more interesting and to make his entire day fun or relaxing for him.
APPETIZERS: What will he do before he starts his main activity?
ENTREES: What will his main activity of the day be? If he chooses something short (i.e. a massage, hike, bike ride, etc.), encourage him to pick another, as well.
DESSERTS: What will he do after his main activity? This can be used the day of the activity, or another day. For instance, getting out of 3 poopy diapers probably (hopefully) won’t be in the same night! That’s probably my favorite “dessert” option! 🙂
ADD-ONS: Allow him to choose to do his appetizer, entree, and/or dessert alone, with a friend, with you, and/or with the kids. The key is NOT to feel or act disappointed if he doesn’t want to do everything with you and/or the kids. This is his day! If it was my day, I might choose to be alone, too!
Make sure to tell him to block off Father’s Day (or another day, if you are already busy for Father’s Day), and that you’ll have something special for him. Don’t forget, some of these will need reservations, so you might want to give him the menu a few days before his special day so that you can properly plan.
