IT’S NEARLY…
This might be your first…
your second…
or, you might have years of Mother’s Day memories stowed away.
What better than a day meant for you to sit down and reflect on the past year?
But… this isn’t just a time to remember how much work you’ve put into shape your little ones into happy, healthy, polite kids.
Let’s make this year about intention. This year, think of Mother’s Day as a time to improve. What can we do to be our best for our children?
—Notice, I did not say “the” best—
This is not about about regrets. wallowing in our mistakes, or wishing we were more like. …her. It’s about moving forward.
Let’s do this together:
1) Get out your calendar and schedule a time with yourself for sometime this month. You’ll need 15-30 mins.
2) Write it down/type it out & set an alarm!
3) At your appointment (with yourself), write/type out every goal you can think of related to parenting for the year ahead.
4) Write/type until everything in your brain is on paper.
5) Take those goals and insert them into your calendar for the year ahead. Make the goal and the time frame both achievable so you are successful!
6) Keep your piece of paper (print it out if you typed it), and put it in an envelope to open on the next Mother’s Day. Put a reminder on your calendar to open it next year!
Let’s be intentional in our Mommy hood! Let us NOT be moms who look back on these years and regret pictures not colored, puzzles undone, hugs not given, trips not taken, or lessons not taught.
