I love photography. In fact, having no formal training, I consider myself a more apt-than-average photographer. This confidence is exactly what gave me the chutzpah to attempt such a feat as the newborn head in hands pose.
To reach my goal of capturing my child in that pose, I visited iheartfaces.com. She has a very easy to follow tutorial that explains not only how to put the child in the head in hands pose, but how to edit it to look as though it’s completely authentic.
Note: My mom helped in this endeavor. I certainly wouldn’t want to omit credit.
Unlike every other week-old baby, my child didn’t sleep well with any noise or commotion around, which is why it didn’t work out so well… or, maybe it was because it wasn’t warm enough… or it was too light… or, dang… who knows. However, he is 5 weeks old now, and I will attempt it again. If it doesn’t work, I’ll try again when he’s about 30.
