Those of you without kids will think I’m crazy (and some of you WITH kids, might think the same), but my child responds to made up songs!
I hope you can use these to encourage your little ones to go potty. 🙂
Note: I was seriously cry-laughing when I made these up.
To the tune of the Alphabet Song:
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I have to go potty, please come with me, Q, R, S, T, U, V, Wipe up my doo-doo and shake off my pee. Now I know how to pot-ty, I’m a big boy/girl, now you see.
To the tune of Little Bunny Foo Foo:
Little [child’s name] doo-doos in his/her little potty, ploppin’ and a tinklin’, get all the yuckies out.
To the tune of Mary Had A Little Lamb
[Child’s name] had a little poo, little poo, little poo! [Child’s name] had a little poo, dressed in a nice brown suit!
To the tune of The Itsy Bitsy Spider
I really need to potty, it tingles in my bum. I think I’ll sit and think a while, or read a story with mum. And then when it is ready, I’ll sit right down and hum, for the little potty in me now is ready to come.
To the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
When I’m playing in the yard, I don’t want to stop, it is so hard. But, Mommy and Daddy say I should, cause going in the potty is what a big kid would. So, I leave my toys aside, I go on the potty THEN go down the slide.
To the tune of Old McDonald Had A Farm
Little [child’s name] had to go, Pee-Pee & Poo-Poo, and when she went she loved it so, Wee-Hee & Woo-Hoo! With a pee-pee here and a poo-poo there, here a pee, there a poo, everywhere a pee-poo. Little [child’s name] had to go, Pee-Pee & Poo-Poo.
To the tune of London Bridge (for the little boys)
Cheerios are sinking down, sinking down, sinking down. Cheerios are sinking down, YES, I DID IT!
